
Ron grew up in the southside of Chicago and then attended Taft Jr. College in Taft, CA. While at Taft J.C. he was drafted into the major league baseball draft, where he spent the next 17 years playing professional baseball. Ron played for the MN Twins, Chicago Cubs, NY Yankees and LA Dodgers after making it to the big leagues. During his baseball career he also started two business: C.F. Swingtown, a baseball acadamy in Chicago as well as C.F.Group a real-estate investment company. While playing with the MN Twins in 1999, he met Paula and they married in 2003. Ron retired from baseball after the 2003 season and moved back full time to the Minneapolis area with Paula. Since Ron retired, he has been very active in his two Chicago businesses as well as going to work for FSN in Minneapolis as a baseball analyst for the MN Twins broadcasts. Ron has also done some free lance work for Fox Chicago covering some of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox games.
